Location - Doncaster
Our client is a leading international company based in the South Yorkshire region that are now looking to recruit a supplier quality engineer for this ever expanding business.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a global approved supplier listing, identifying risk and supplier vulnerability, supplier performance, lead quality and supplier corrective action plans.
The role will focus on supplier quality and performance issues and duties include:
* Supplier evaluation audits and process audits
* Evaluate and review supplier quality and delivery performance and develop appropriate action plans
* Review documentation for inspection and testing procedures from the supplier
* Develops and executes quality control plans
* Involvement in the continuous improvement process to enhance product quality and reduce product cost.
* Support supplier selection and qualification
You will ideally be degree qualified or time served and have experience in working in a quality engineering role within engineering development through to production with an emphasis on supplier management and quality issues, ideally in a Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma environment. This role involves extensive worldwide travel
