Internal Sales Co-ordinator (Engineering / Technical) - Gateshead, North East
Overview of Role:
To help increase market share, sales growth and profitability of the product range and brand globally. by providing a clear vision linked to company objectives to ensure the development of existing and new markets, efficient management of product life cycles, and the specification of new products to direct the NPD process for the products and applications. Success is measured through ?Return on Sales? and Productivity.
Job Purpose:
? To be an active member of the Sales Support Team and be integral in the provision of strong customer service.
? To support the Business Development Team and Sales Companies and in order to maximise sales and business growth opportunities.
? Proactively identify sales, market and product opportunities.
? To be point of customer contact and host visits where appropriate.
? Ensure a highly professional and supportive image is portrayed.
Role responsibilities:
? Provide commercial, technical and applications assistance
? Recognise and identify customer needs and proactively satisfy them.
? Support the External Sales Teamdevelopment of new/existing markets.
? Co-ordinating and reporting customer visits incorporating presentations, factory tours and entertainment as required.
? Delivering basic product training and applications training
? Lead and assist in the development of new business opportunities.
? Quotations management ? Preparation, follow up and maintenance.
? Resolution of customer complaints / returns / credit notes in line with current company policy.
? Develop and maintain product knowledge for products and applications.
? Monitor competitor activity (e.g. products, pricing)
? Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers with an emphasis on ?Partnership? and ?Teamwork?.
? Manage orders
? Maintain pricing/discounts in line with pricing and authorisation limits.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
? Experience of working in a Manufacturing / Engineering Sales Environment
? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Results and customer focused with a Flexible and adaptable character
? Good education (technical qualification preferred, but not essential)
? A high level of confidence and a drive to succeed
